Innovative synergy between Québec universities and their research teams: the unité de soutien SSA Québec is recruiting

the Unit ensures that Québec experts are brought together in teams to support research in learning health systems (LHS) in each of the territories attached to the Centres hospitaliers universitaires du Québec (CHU) associated with the universities of McGill, Montréal, Laval and Sherbrooke, namely the RUISSS.

Longueuil, Tuesday, January 11, 2022 The Unité de soutien au système de santé apprenant (SSA) Québec is pursuing its leadership in the implementation of the Québec learning health system by mandating Alexandre Charrette and Yessica-Haydee Gomez Sandoval to form teams that will support research on learning health systems in the four university health and social services networks (RUISSS) in Québec in 2022.

A first in Québec

The SSA Quebec Support Unit strives to make possible the continuous improvement of the health system as well as the care and services provided to the population. To achieve this, the Unit ensures that Québec experts are brought together in teams to support research in learning health systems (LHS) in each of the territories attached to the Centres hospitaliers universitaires du Québec (CHU) associated with the universities of McGill, Montréal, Laval and Sherbrooke, namely the RUISSS. Mr. Charrette and Ms. Gomez Sandoval will support this process as SSA-RUISSS development officers. They will thus ensure the facilitation of the decentralization of the Unit’s capacities and an assertive anchoring in the field.

Innovative synergy between Québec universities

The new SSA-RUISSS teams will be composed of territorial antennas bringing together several of the Unit’s expertises. They will primarily respond to the needs of their respective RUISSS in the context of specific projects or competitions for the continuous improvement of care trajectories. They will stimulate collaboration between the RUISSS and thus contribute to building the capacity of Québec’s learning health systems.

Candidates wanted

Anyone wishing to join an SSA-RUISSS team as a coordination manager and contribute to the transformation of the Québec health system is invited to contact Alexandre Charrette and Yessica-Haydee Gomez Sandoval at the following email address:ssaquebec@usherbrooke.ca.

About RUISSSs

The RUISSSs federate universities and their affiliated health and social services network institutions. They were created to promote cooperation, complementarity and integration of the care, teaching and research missions of health care institutions with a university designation and the universities with which these institutions are affiliated.
