Longueuil, December 12, 2022 – The Unité de soutien au système de santé apprenant (SSA) Québec has had its funding renewed as a provincial unit of the national network of the Strategy for Patient-Oriented Research (SPOR) until March 31, 2026, and has made continuous improvement of the Québec health system a joint project with the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux du Québec.

Since 2014, the Unit has been working to involve patients in research projects as partners and experts in living with the disease. It ensures that research results do not remain on the shelf; that they are implemented and that they improve care, services and management in our health and social services network.

In collaboration with the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux du Québec, the Fonds de recherche du Québec and the four integrated university networks in health and social services in Québec, the Unit supports change by providing training, consultation and tools. Thus, anyone working in the health and social services network can obtain its support for patient-oriented projects or for improving care and service trajectories. Ultimately, it allows them to work towards the quintuple aim in Québec.
