This training aims to effectively integrate patient partners into a continuous improvement approach to quality of care. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the fundamental principles of patient engagement, recognize patients’ unique expertise in their experience of illness, and identify the range of their experiential knowledge.
The course will emphasize the essential role of patient partners in the decision-making process, and provide practical strategies for implementing partnership in the specific context of continuous quality improvement (CQI). Finally, participants will learn how to apply best practices for engaging patient partners in CQI.
The “Patient Engagement in Continuous Quality Improvement” training course is asynchronous, meaning that registrants can view its video content at their own pace.
