Longueuil, Thursday, November 24, 2022 – The Unité de soutien au système de santé apprenant (SSA) Québec is proud to announce the launch of the SSA-RUISSS teams in Québec. The Unit will thus ensure that the four University Health and Social Services Networks (hereafter referred to as RUISSS) are firmly anchored in the field. In January 2023, the Unit’s scientific director will begin a tour of the RUISSSs in order to encourage fruitful discussions with people working in the field and to highlight support needs.
The SSA-RUISSS teams will operate under a scientific-patient co-leadership and will be guided by four skilled coordinators:
- Co-directed by Alexandra De Pokomandy and Sonia Lussier. Coordinated by Araceli Gonzalez Reyes (SSA-RUISSS McGill)
- Co-directed by Catherine Hudon and Catherine Wilhelmy. Coordinated by Yessica-Haydee Gomez Sandoval (SSA-RUISSS Université de Sherbrooke)
- Co-directed by Maude Laberge and Samira Amil. Coordinated by Annie Poirier (SSA-RUISSS Université Laval)
- Co-directed by Marie-Thérèse Lussier and Clara Dallaire. Coordinated by Viviane Tran (SSA-RUISSS Université de Montréal)
Decentralize the capabilities of the Unité de soutien SSA Québec
Our Unit strives to play a key role in the continuous improvement of Quebec’s health care system and care trajectories. With and for the benefit of the public, the Unit’s team is mobilizing and supporting research and health and social services networks. Its team is made up of highly qualified individuals who work within or outside the province’s health care and service institutions.
The new SSA-RUISSS teams will be composed of territorial antennas bringing together several of the Unit’s expertises. They will primarily respond to the needs of their respective RUISSS in the context of specific projects or competitions for the continuous improvement of care trajectories. They will stimulate collaboration between the RUISSS and thus contribute to building the capacity of Québec’s learning health systems.

There are vacancies for Patient/Public/Organizational Partnership, Data Management, Data Valorization and Change Management positions within the SSA-RUISSS teams. Individuals interested in serving as patient partners, team co-leaders or in general are also invited to contact the Unit by email.
About RUISSSs
