The first cohort of the LHS Incubator has wrapped up!

Let’s celebrate the success of the first three project teams from Quebec’s health and social services network to have completed the LHS Incubator program! On to the 2026 cohort!
April 7, 2026

Unité de soutien au système de santé apprenant (SSA) Québec is proud to announce the official conclusion of the very first cohort of the LHS Incubator. Launched in the fall of 2025, the LHS Incubator aimed to provide intensive, personalized support to project teams within Québec’s health and social services network to strengthen the integration of learning health system principles and impact measurement into their initiatives.

Throughout the program, participating teams benefited from a collaborative environment, diverse expertise, and opportunities for collective learning, enabling them to structure, test, and evolve their projects in real-world contexts. This first cohort fully demonstrated the potential of the LHS approach to support transformative projects and foster continuous system improvement. Successfully completing the program does not necessarily mean seeing a project through to completion as originally planned. Reflectiveness and partnership-based work enabled teams to make the right decisions, which sometimes meant pivoting or reorienting their efforts.

Congratulations to the teams!

We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to the three project teams from the 2025 cohort, whose projects demonstrate the commitment, creativity, and leadership of the network’s teams. Their participation makes a tangible contribution to the implementation of a Québec healthcare system that is more learning-oriented, innovative, and impact-driven.

Closing Event

On March 25, 2026, we gathered the teams from the 2025 cohort, members of Unité de soutien SSA Québec, and staff and collaborators in Longueuil. It was an opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments and witness impactful retrospective presentations in which each team demonstrated how far they had come, both in terms of completing their projects and in developing skills in communication, teamwork, decision-making, and partnership.
