This microsite is a directory of best practices and elements to keep in mind in order to optimize and increase the chances of success of a Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) approach. It has been designed by Quebec CQI agents for their peers or anyone interested in the subject.
Best practices and common challenges before, during and after a CQI process
What is ACQ?
Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) is the continuous and combined effort of all stakeholders in an organization to make changes that will lead to better results at the quintuple aim.
CQI in healthcare is a fundamental approach to quality primary care. It rigorously combines reflective practice, the application of best practices, data analysis and teamwork. The approach is also characterized by the development of a culture in which all those involved demonstrate a systemic and reflective approach to identifying opportunities for improvement.
CQI is one of the driving forces behind the development of a learning health system, i.e. a health system in which health data from care delivery and research are analyzed to advance knowledge, which is then integrated into practices for continuous improvement. To find out more
