On September 27, 2022, Québec City unveiled its Active Mobility Vision 2023-2027 and its aspiration to become a learning city. The Unité de soutien SSA Québec is proud to contribute to the achievement of the City of Québec’s goal and welcomes this sustainable health-oriented exercise that includes a co-construction with the population and is based on science.

In the spirit of the partnership approach advocated by the Unit, the City of Québec is inviting its citizens to take part in the project. Until October 25, 2022, citizens are invited to express their opinions on the various elements to be prioritized and on the targets to be reached in the coming years. To participate, they can go to the Citizen Participation Web page.

An approach supported by research

Through its Vision, the City of Québec is demonstrating its firm commitment to evolve in line with the model of learning cities, particularly with regard to sustainable health. Two researchers in charge of organizations with large networks of experts in the field, Dr. Jean-Pierre Després, Scientific Director of VITAM – Centre de recherche en santé durable, and Dr. Antoine Groulx, medical researcher at VITAM and also Scientific Director of the Unité de soutien SSA Québec, will contribute to the achievement of this objective.
