The Unité de soutien SSA Québec is offering this theoretical training course (in french) to help you familiarize yourself with the life course with illness approach as a methodological tool for co-constructing with patients and their families in various contexts, for example in research and in the management of care and services.
During this training session, a few examples of contexts and ways of mobilizing the life-course approach will be presented. A workshop aimed at putting the theoretical foundations of the life-course with illness approach into practice in your own projects is scheduled for 2024.
Goals
At the end of this training course, you will be able to :
- Distinguish between life-courses and trajectories: different terminologies and their implications
- Understand the fundamentals of the life-course approach to illness
- Recognize the benefits of life-course mapping in partnership with patients and their families.
