Dr. Marie-Thérèse Lussier named Scientific Codirector of the SSA-RUISSS Université de Montréal team. She will co-direct her team with a patient partner. Her team will be composed of territorial antennas bringing together several expertises of the Unit.

Dr. Lussier is a professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the Université de Montréal and Director of Réseau de recherche en soins primaires de l’Université de Montréal (RRSPUM). In addition to her unique expertise in professional health communication, she has been actively involved for several years in front-line research projects involving the extraction and valorization of data from electronic medical records and the accompaniment of clinical personnel in reflective practices aimed at improving their practices.

In order to allow the continuous improvement of the health system as well as the care and services provided to the population, the Unité de soutien SSA Québec brings together experts in teams to support research in learning health systems (LHS) in each of the territories attached to the Centres hospitaliers universitaires du Québec (CHU) associated with the universities of McGill, Montreal, Laval and Sherbrooke, namely the RUISSS.

It is in this context that Dr. Marie-Thérèse Lussier is named Scientific Codirector of the LHS team for the territory of the RUISSS Université de Montréal. She will co-lead her team with a patient partner whose nomination is imminent. Her team will be composed of territorial antennas bringing together several expertises of the Unit. These antennas will primarily respond to the needs of the RUISSS Université de Montréal in the context of specific projects or competitions for continuous improvement of care trajectories. The SSA-RUISSS of the territory of Université de Montréal will enhance collaborations with other SSA-RUISSS teams and will contribute to building the capacity of Québec’s learning health systems.
